With the last social evening of the year behind us, that's almost a wrap on 2025, with just the Boxing Day races and the Model Yacht Christmas races on the 27th (and 3rd January) to look forward to.

Boxing Day racing starts at 11am and as always, the exact format will depend on the weather and how many of you come along to take part! At the moment, the forecast is perfect: dry, cool (but not freezing), with a nice 9-15kt NE breeze, so come and join us to blow the cobwebs out and work the mince pies off. Even if you don't fancy sailing, come down to say hello and watch the fun.

Coming up next year, renewal reminders will be out early in the new year: if you can renew promptly,it really helps us with planning activities for the year.

Winter working parties will begin on the 25th January from 10:30am, with lunch provided, so bring your wellies and have some fun helping to get the club spruced up for the season ahead.

On the training front, the year starts on the 5th February with Dave's ever popular Shore-based Essential Navigation and Seamanship course, so follow the link and sign up quick if you'd like an introduction to the fascinating world of charts, bouyage, tides and more.

Lastly on the social front, we'll have our usual social evenings on the first, third and fifth Fridays of each month, with two special events, a fun first aid night on the 16th January and Burn's night on the 23rd. The bar will of course be open, but there's also always tea, coffee, games to play and takeaways to be ordered!
