RYA Essential Navigation & Seamanship Next Date: TBC The RYA Essential Navigation and Seamanship Course is designed to provide you with a basic introduction to chartwork, navigation, weather, tides and seamanship. It provides a sound foundation for those wishing to progress to the RYA practical courses. Ely Sailing Club Members: £75 Non-Members: £100 This course typically runs once a year in the non-sailing season, usually February - March. |

RYA First Aid Course Next Date: TBC First Aid courses cover all usual first aid subjects, but from a boating perspective. It is suitable for anybody who goes afloat. Whether you go boating on inland or offshore waters, the course will give you the necessary knowledge to take first aid action in case of emergency. In a medical emergency, first aid knowledge and rapid action saves lives. This qualification fulfils the requirement needed for the Dinghy Instructor Course. The course is also useful for all sailors, as you never know when an issue may occur that requires first aid. Duration: 1 day, 8h 09:00-17:00 NB: Priority for this course is to club members covering rescue duties & the Ely Sailing Club training team. Should there be remaining places, they will be advertised here. |

RYA Powerboat Level 2 Next Date: TBC Priority for these courses is given to club members who will use the skills to cover rescue duties at the club. Courses are run on variable days, as agreed with students and our instructors - these are predominantly outside of the sailing season or on weekdays. Should there be a course running with vacancy, this will be advertised on the Ely Sailing Club website. |
