Ely Sailing Club is based at Roswell Pits in Ely, Cambridgeshire. We have over 35 acres of attractive fresh water with islands, trees and banks. The sailing is always interesting, challenging and fun. There is dry launching directly from jetties, and crews are able to sail without getting their feet wet. We are a recognised Royal Yachting Association (RYA) training centre providing a range of sailing courses, powerboat courses and first aid tuition. We have also been awarded RYA Champion Club status for our race coaching. The club is family orientated and run by its members, for its members, with good value and enjoyment for all.
Due to the sailing restrictions imposed by the Covid-19 lockdown the 2020 Sailing Calendar has been withdrawn for the time being.
COVID-19 - Latest updates regarding the starting of sailing - Stage 1

COVID-19 - May Training Courses Cancelled
Unfortunately all of planned training courses, including Ladies of the Lake have been cancelled. The training coordinators will be in touch with those that have made bookings.
It is still possible to book courses from June onwards. Let's hope that as the lockdown is eased and we can look forward to sailing. What better way than learn a new outdoor fresh air skill that can be done with social distancing?
Following advice from the Government, RYA and common sense the Training Principal, with the support of the committee, have decided to close the training centre with immediate effect and cancel all courses until 30th April 2020 and will then review the situation on a monthly basis..
