    Ely Cadets Win at Grafham leg of Cambs Youth League 23

    4 Ely Sailing Club cadets (Edward, Fergus, Kieran and Jashan) attended the Grafham leg of this years Cambridgeshire Youth League. On arrival at Grafham there were some nervous sailors and parents looking at the quite challenging conditions and a much bigger area of water to what were used to at Roswell Pits.   • Club Open Day (13th May) and Evening (19th May)

    The annual club open day takes place on Saturday 13th May from 1pm to 4pm. This free event is open to all. If youre interested in giving sailing a try come along for a taster.     Thursday Night Sailing is Back!

    It was good to see 3 boats out on the water this Thursday gone (13th April). Thursday evenings are the clubs novice and cadet racing sessions. Were hoping to see numbers increase as the season progresses and intend having some coached sessions. Dont forget that the galley is available so you can always prepare some apr├Ęs sail supper.   • Easter Egg Trophy and Racing Results

    Easter Sunday saw our first cup race of the season. The session was well attended with 8 boats racing, plus a couple of others making the most of the pleasant conditions. We saw some great racing on the water and some eggcellent chocolate hunting in the club house. Well done to Jack Knight who won the day overall and to Edward Human who won the cadet egg.     The 2023 Season has started!

    The 2023 season started on Saturday 25th March. Members enjoyed a fabulous afternoon helping to get all the club single handed boats onto the water for a check over. After a some squally wet weather it cleared up to be a great afternoon, perfect for messing about in a boat and remembering sailing skills.     Winter Working Parties

    Every Sunday form the 8th January we will be doing the winter working parties which is a get together of all those who are able to help to keep the clubhouse, boats and grounds in good shape. Whatever your abilities, please would you join us from 11:00 through to around 2:00 (or whatever you can manage). There will be hot cups of tea, bacon rolls and soups (and probably other delights) to keep us going.
