2024 Winter Working Parties Begin

Winter working parties at Ely Sailing Club kicked off today with a fantastic turnout from club members. It was amazing to see so many members of all ages out in force! A great start has been made on cutting down the overgrowth, fixing up the starters' box, decluttering around the club and getting started on repairing the start line!

Every Sunday from around 10:30 until around 14:00/15:00 or whatever you can spare, we will be undertaking repairs to berths, the starters box and clubhouse as well as cutting back, refreshing and tidying in advance of the season. If we get such a great turnout each week, the club will be in tip-top shape come spring, and Alan can always find more jobs, so the more the merrier!

There will be a light lunch provided for all helpers each week and plenty of hot drinks available. Please do come along, wearing your boots and coats and bringing along any tools you have that might prove useful...
