Laying Up Supper (2025)

It's time... the social highlight of the year is here with the 2025 Laying Up Supper & Prize Giving
Drinks & canapes on arrival followed by a plated 2 course dinner prepared and served to you by a visiting chef with years of restaurant experience. Menu details are attached below - we have tried to ensure there's something for everyone.
Culminating with the 2025 prize giving and awards - come along and celebrate this year's racing winners - and you never know, you might be in line for a committee awareded prize. The bar will be open on the night (requests welcome for drinks to be stocked). Sure to be a year highlight, please do come and celebrate another year of Ely Sailing Club.
A litte note on dietary requirements
Vegetarian options are catered for in the normal menu (vegetarian lasagne, vegetable curry). All desserts are vegetarian. Gluten free options of all main dishes are available, please indicate appropriatley on the booking form (the chef has confirmed he will try and minimise shared surfaces, ensure rigorous cleaning and use seperate utensils where possible etc., but due to using the club kitchen, there is no specific allergen preparation area). There will be a gluten free dessert option but this is to be confirmed.

Fabio is a versatile chef who has honed his culinary skills across some revered establishments, including The Randolph Oxford, Black Horse in Baston, The Grove Watford, and Sopwell House St Albans. He is known for his unique cooking style, which incorporates classic French techniques with Mediterranean twists, resulting in diverse and flavorful dishes. Fabio's experience has been enriched by training at Aylesbury College and working at Tom Kerridge's unit, where he refined his ability to craft memorable dining experiences.
