Commodore's Communique - New Season!
Commodores Waffle back by public demand!
It looks like the first day of the new season is going to be a windy one. Racing starts this Sunday 29th March at 1pm.
There has already been a lot of activity at the Club this year, the training team have been in full swing with lots of new and old members gaining their First Aid qualification under the tutelage of Principal Steve Board. We also have five new Assistant Instructors who completed their course last weekend. Our thanks goes to their tutors Hannah and Andy Wilcox.
We are looking at getting some new versatile boats which can be sailed single handed, two up with or without jib and can carry a conventional spinnaker or an asymmetric one. There will be a demonstration boat available at the Club so how about coming and trying it out. Date to be confirmed in the Commodores Communique when finalised.
A busy programme of training, social and racing has been put together for the 2015 season our 69th. It is our aim to get more Ladies into Sailing especially the 14 to 21 year olds. So if you have a wife, cousin, girlfriend that might be interested bring them along.
Looking forward to our most ambitious season yet.
