Commodores Waffle

It’s sadly that time of the year again when our sailing season is drawing to a close…. But fear not! This is the time of year to PARTY!!! We’ve still got loads going on at Ely Sailing Club; I hope you will be able to join us.

As I mentioned in my last Waffle we will be holding our Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 27th November and we are still taking nominations for new committee members. Every year committee members rotate to allow new people with fresh ideas to join the committee. This year is no exception and we have three positions coming available. We would like somebody who is keen to continue to push the club forward to join the committee and help ensure the clubs smooth running and success for all its members. If you would like to have an input into your club and are keen and dedicated, please come and have a word with me, you may be the person we are looking for. Winter Work Parties

Sunday 16th November 2014

We are starting the winter work parties earlier than in previous years this year. Sunday 16thNovember @ 10am will be the first one. Any volunteers to help with general maintenance of the clubhouse and the land would be very welcome and a hot bacon or sausage sandwich will be your reward!

Ely Sailing Club is run for its members by its members, come along and hear about the successes of 2014, have your say, and vote on new developments within the club. I look forward to seeing you there!
